Tariffs for Moving in New Jersey

One of the most common questions we get asked is related to our tariffs. How much we charge for a move is an important piece of information to have before the move itself. Unfortunately, it is not really possible to give an exact quote to customers online because we don’t have enough information about what you need moved, and where it needs to go. We can, however, provide you with some general price points that you can use to get a good idea of how much it would cost. You can also contact us directly to get a quote for your residential or commercial move.

Prices for Packing & Unpacking

If you are hiring our team to pack and unpack your items during the move, we are more than happy to help. Our rates for packing things up include both the packing and the materials that are used. If you select to hire us for unpacking as well, we can provide you a quote that will include that information. If you want to just have us bring you the packing materials and pack things up yourself, you can get the prices on the exact items you need in the chart below. {INSERT PRICE PER ITEM CHART} The cost for delivering these packing materials to you is just $30 if you are within 20 miles of our offices.

Hourly Price Per Mover

When you hire our professional movers, you will be paying them one affordable flat rate. This covers everything that they are doing, which can save you a lot of money over companies that charge extra for certain types of moving. Our prices are:

• Regular Hours Worked - $30/hr
• Overtime Hours Worked - $40/hr
• Sunday & Holiday Hours - $50/hr

Charges for Travel

We charge our clients based on how many miles from our offices they are located based on the following formula, which applies a set hourly charge based on the number of miles:

• 3-10 Miles = .5 Hours
• 11-20 Miles = 1 Hour
• 21-30 Miles = 1.5 Hours
• 31-50 Miles = 2.5 Hours

For every two miles that go over 100 miles of travel, simply add a half hour charge.

Rates Based on Time & Day of Service

When you request our services any time between 8AM and 7PM, you will be charged the regular work rate for each hour. Work that is done between 7PM and 8AM will be charged at the overtime rate. There is a minimum charge of 3 hours for both regular and overtime moves, and 5 hours when moving on a Sunday or holiday.

Payment of Tolls

If your move requires that we go on toll roads, the shipper will be responsible for paying all the toll fees.

We accept all of the following payment options:

• Money Order
• Certified Check
• Credit Card
• Visa & MasterCard have a 2% service fee on the total bill
• American Express and Discover have a 5% service fee on the total bill

Deposit & Refund Policy

Deposits are required for 20% of the estimated cost of the move. The 20% is required on the day of the estimate or booking of the move. This deposit will be applied to the total payment of the bill when the services have been performed.
